Introducing DJ Ricky T, a UK Garage DJ born and raised in North London. Known for his love of UK Garage, Ricky has a passion for mixing and blending Old Skool Garage with new UKG to bring a big vibe to any dancefloor.

Living in North London, there was a wealth of inspiration across the airwaves in the form of pirate radio, which is where Ricky started to listen to UK Garage. Inspired by shows on Kiss from the legendary DJ EZ and listening to the flows of MC B Live, recording these shows and listening to them became a daily ritual.

As a teenager, having friends that owned decks and who shared a mutual love and passion of UK Garage, Ricky developed a big love of the music and learnt how to mix together two tracks. As this passion and skill developed, Ricky decided on buying a pair of Technic 1210’s, a Pioneer mixer and speakers much to the dismay of his parents! After many hours of practice, Ricky developed his skills as a DJ and built up a big collection of UKG vinyl from UDM, his local record shop. As the number of records grew, so did his mixing ability.

This led to Ricky submitting a mixtape to Subjam 104.7FM with the hope of a regular set broadcasting across the airwaves. With the mix being received positively, DJ Ricky T joined Subjam to host a regular show with MC Younggun every Monday 12pm-2am, mixing the finest UK garage and inviting guest MC’s to bring some fire to the booth.

Since then, DJ Ricky T has gone from strength to strength, both as a vinyl and Digital DJ, joining UK Flow, an Internet Radio station, to host a regular Monday 6pm-8pm show mashing together UK Garage flavours and gathering a loyal following in the process. This has led to Ricky DJ’ing across a number of venues showcasing his talent and passion for the music.

DJ Ricky T is live with a brand new show every Saturday 4pm-6pm on Subjam, getting you set for your Saturday evening. Playing UK Garage tracks from the past and the present, make sure to tune in for what is a not to be missed show!
