Subjam reaching its first birthday feels like more than just another milestone. Over the past year, the station has grown into a proper underground platform, championing UK garage, house, and club sounds without compromise. Built on DJs who care about selection, flow, and dancefloor energy, Subjam has stayed rooted in the values that shaped UK club culture long before playlists and algorithms.
Now it’s time to celebrate that journey properly. On Saturday 7th March, Subjam marks its first year with a two room birthday takeover at Dog & Whistle in Hertford. Two stages, a carefully curated lineup, and a night designed for heads and dancers alike.
The Birthday Stage
Stage one is the core of the night and a direct reflection of the station’s sound over the past year. The Birthday Stage brings together DJs who have helped define Subjam through shows, guest slots, and regular rotations.
The lineup features Majestic, K Warren, About 2, Tru Faith, Shiv, Darcey, Lets Get Mash Up, Hercules, Dizzy D, and Stidge, supported by MCs Kie, Viper, Marvel, Flava, and Pintsize.
Expect rolling UK garage, house with weight, bass driven selections, and sets built with the dancefloor in mind. This stage is about a party vibe and pure energy from start to finish.
If you’ve spent time listening to Subjam over the last year, this stage will feel like home.
The White Label Stage
Stage two offers a different energy. The White Label Stage is where selectors are encouraged to dig deeper and take chances. This room focuses on underground house and garage and underground club tools that sit slightly left of the main room sound.
The White Label lineup includes Mystic Matt, Owen James, Sykik, Superior, Huggy, and Danger Dubz.
This is the space for heads who enjoy a deeper and more underground selection, where the DJs are known for pushing boundaries.. Late night energy and pure white label selections.
Live PAs, Bringing the Tracks to Life
Alongside the birthday stage selectors, the night features a strong run of live performances.
Live PAs on the night include Mobb Music & Nicky Louise performing Dirty Cash, Pint Size & Producer Jess with Profile Pic and DTM & Rach Rach delivering Young & Free.
One Year In, Still Underground
This birthday is about more than one night. It’s about a year of independent radio, built by DJs, artists, and listeners who believe in the new era of house and garage.
Tickets are already moving and capacity is limited, so early purchase is strongly recommended. Whether you’ve been locked into Subjam since day one or discovered it along the way, this is a chance to celebrate together on a proper dancefloor.
Until then, keep listening to Subjam for birthday build up, exclusive mixes, and more information across the schedule.
One year deep. Still underground. Powered by the people.
