Subjam 1 Year Loud on DAB - Full Anniversary Recap

Subjam marked one year broadcasting loud on DAB with a full day of UK garage, house and club culture energy. From breakfast through to late night, the station brought together pioneers, residents and special guests to celebrate how far the movement has travelled in just 12 months.

Pintsize & Jess

The celebrations began with Pintsize and Jess, the breakfast show duo that has helped define the station’s daytime vibe. Expect energy, personality and proper selections to set the tone for the day.


House of Jam with Darcy & Stidge

Darcy and Stidge delivered a focused hour of house driven grooves, warming up the airwaves and building momentum ahead of the heavy hitters. It was a smooth transition from breakfast into full dancefloor mode.


Jeremy Sylvester

A true UK garage pioneer stepped up for a special anniversary set from Jeremy Sylvester. With decades of influence behind him, the set was a reminder of why his name still carries serious weight in the scene.


Todd Edwards, Launch Day Rewind

Midday featured a launch day rewind from Todd Edwards, one of garage’s most iconic producers. The set captured the spirit of Subjam’s very first DAB broadcast and brought it back for the anniversary crowd.


Mystic Dubplate Matt & Jacqui Bennett

Dubplates, fresh garage selections and underground flavour defined this hour. Mystic Dubplate Matt and Jacqui Bennett showcased the depth of the culture and the importance of keeping roots intact while pushing forward.



Wideboys

Chart crossover appeal met underground credibility as Wideboys took control. Their consistency over the years was on full display with a set that balanced radio polish and rave energy.



Majestic

High energy, big personality and pure party atmosphere came courtesy of Majestic. This was peak daytime celebration mode with hands in the air moments throughout.



MC Kie, MC Fizzy & Sean Harvey.

A two hour MC led session celebrated UK club culture foundations. With mic work at the forefront and DJs holding down the riddims, the set paid homage to the rave blueprint that built garage in the first place.



K Warren

Prime time belonged to K Warren, a defining name in UK garage. His anniversary showcase blended classics with deeper cuts, delivering a reminder of his long standing impact on the sound.



Brasstooth

Closing the celebration, Brasstooth brought heavyweight sounds and late night energy. It was a fitting end to a landmark day for the station.



One Year Loud on DAB

Subjam’s first year on DAB has proven that independent radio, real DJs and community driven programming still matter. The anniversary schedule was more than a birthday party. It was a statement about the future of underground broadcasting.
