Tempa

DJ Tempa is a UK bass music DJ from Berkshire with deep roots in the underground scene. His sound spans Jungle, Drum & Bass, UK Garage, Breaks and Garage House, shaped by decades immersed in UK rave culture.

Tempa began buying jungle vinyl in 1995, followed by garage vinyl in 1997, and picked up his Technics in 1998. Cutting his teeth on pirate radio, he played across several stations including UK’s Finest 87.5 and held a fortnightly residency on Flex FM during its pirate era.

Over the years, DJ Tempa has played at some of London’s most respected venues and nights, including Ministry of Sound, Brixton Jam, and Garage City at Bar Rumba to name a few. He also held a Weekly Sunday residency at the Scotch Bar in Windsor, delivering house sets enhanced with live percussion such as bongos and saxophone.

Deeply connected to the jungle and D&B scene, Tempa has played at numerous events alongside leading artists, including Ram Records shows with Grooverider and DJ Hazard. As part of the A.K Soundsystem crew, he played regular London boat parties with Deekline for the Hot Cakes and Jungle Cakes labels, as well as Stanton Warriors’ Stanton Sessions.

Additional highlights include performances at Ascot Tea Party alongside DJ EZ and a back-to-back set with Marcus Nasty of Rinse FM. With decades of experience behind the decks, DJ Tempa brings authentic underground energy, technical skill, and serious musical knowledge to every set.
