DJ Shortz

DJ SHORTZ is a seasoned drum and bass artist with over three decades of experience behind the decks. Hailing from London’s vibrant electronic music scene, he’s been a fixture in clubs and on pirate radio stations across the UK and beyond.

Inspired by early rave culture and trips to Ibiza, SHORTZ’s musical journey began with sharing mixtapes at school. This passion quickly evolved into countless hours of bedroom DJing, honing his skills and developing his unique style. His influences span from classic disco to the mind-bending scratching techniques of DMC Championship legends like DJ Q-Bert and Craze.
SHORTZ’s long-term residencies on Origin and Don FM cemented his status in London’s underground radio scene. He’s also held down spots at some of the UK most iconic venues, including Egg, Ministry of Sound, Fabric, Pryzm, Atik, and Supper Club.

Whether he’s playing to a packed club in London or at an underground party in Prague, his goal remains the same: to share his passion for music and create unforgettable experiences for ravers. He brings his energy and love for all flavours of Jungle and Drum and Bass to his weekly show, every Saturday from 8-10pm on SubJam DAB.
